THE 2010 PRIDE FEST
This year's festival will be the weekend of June 5th and 6th. The celebration kicks off Saturday, June 5th with a live concert at The Capitol Theater in Davenport featuring disco icons "VILLAGE PEOPLE"!
On June 6th, the recognition of Diversity continues with a Street Fest from 1 PM - 9 PM in the Rainbow District of Davenport, Iowa. A stage featuring local entertainment will highlight one end of the festival with non-stop performances. We can't wait to see everyone!

Gay Comedian Wendel Duppert will be appearing at Penguin's Comedy Club Thursday - Saturday. Click for more information.
It's a Retro '70s Party at Connections Nightclub on Friday, June 4 all evening! There will be a costume contest, with 2 Village People concert tickets given for BEST '70s OUTFIT and 2 Village People concert tickets given for BEST VILLAGE PEOPLE IMPERSONATOR. Judging will take place at midnight.
Pride Power Worship Service from 11 - 11:30 am on Sunday, June 6th at the Metropolitan Community Church. Bring your friends for a brief but powerful, informal and inspiring worship service with the message: "What it Means to be Gay & Christian" by Pastor Rich.

QC PRIDE, Inc., was started by Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities with support from many outstanding nonprofit organizations, who also benefit by raising funds at Pride Fest and by getting their message out to the public, including: Quad Citians Affirming Diversity, AIDS Project Quad Cities, DeLaCerda House, OneIowa, Equality Illinois, Progressive Action for the Common Good, QC Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, Davenport Civil Rights Commission and the Unitarian Church of Davenport.

as well as to educate the public about LGBT people and their
contributions to history and to the community. We seek to
promote the health, education and civil rights of LGBT persons in
the greater QC Area.
